Colin, I actually did that old school style: put a camcorder on a tripod and then sped it up on the computer. Just because it was quicker to set up. However I've now got a webcam pointed long term at a seed tray - stay tuned for results in a month or so.
And Margaret, don't really know what the point is, to be honest. I guess it's so that they can charge more for planter kits when it comes with fancy compressed pellets? Oh and they can be planted straight out without needed transplanted? Waste of money if you ask me.

I've not met compost pellets. What's the point in pelleting it - it comes from kitchen and garden waste doesn't it? And it looks like a skirting board or other moulding (ceiling?)

Skirting board? Did you do this with a webcam? I'm working on a timelapse controller for DSLRs at the minute
